Happy Friday everyone! I know I'm looking forward to a break from work so I can have some fun this weekend! I think Matt and I are going on a hike on one of the many trails in the area. Hopefully it stays sunny and cools down a bit so we will actually be able to spend more than 10 minutes outside. I'm definitely a fair weather hiker.

Dang it you guys, I just jinxed it. I just checked the weather and it's going to rain. All weekend. I guess that just means the picturesque views will have to wait, and I'll just have to cuddle up with Matt watching movies instead. Pretty good backup plan if I do say so myself. Anybody have any fun plans this weekend?

Cardigans

Cardigan: Primark; Shirt: Target; Necklace: Gift, Belt: thirfted; Pants: Old Navy; Shoes: Thrifted

This cardigan has been with me through many years. It's almost like a security blanket that doubles as something stylish. It's a neutral so it goes with anything and everything, or at least it does in my mind. So when I was studying abroad in England and could only bring a small carry on bag full of clothes to wear for three months, this is one of the items I picked up to keep me stylish with my very limited wardrobe. I would just put on some skinny jeans, a t-shirt, and a cardigan and look put together even though it look like 5 milliseconds to think up. Especially when I had to be up and out the door at 7am every day. Can't miss those full English breakfasts. My mouth is watering just thinking about it.

Anyway, this cardigan is still my go to item when I'm rushing out the door. Because even though it's a million degrees outside and humid as anything, my small office is freezing. And unfortunately my hoodie would be frowned upon, so cardigan it is! More stylish look anyway. Do any of you have a go to item in your wardrobe?

Felix and Izzy

IMG_1372

Let me introduce you to some very important things in my life. This is Felix. He is the mischievous one of the bunch. I don't think he is having fun unless he is getting into some sort of trouble. Or eating.

The second picture is Izzy. Izzy is a super cuddler and very sweet. Yes, we have two black kittens that look nearly identical. Izzy just has a little white patch on her chest while Felix has a slightly larger tail, which affectionately got him the nickname of Fat-Tail-Felix. We love watching the two kitties play together and seeing what sort of craziness they get in to every day. Needless to say, we are cat people.

This is my wonderful boyfriend Matt holding a very squirmy Felix. It took us probably 10 tries to actually get him to hold still so he wasn't a little black blur. But it was worth it! Matt is looking super cute as always in this picture. He is so sweet with them. I love watching all of them play together.

Welcome to Jen Plus M! I'm Jen and I'm so excited to be starting this little blog of mine. I've been following fashion blogs for what seems like forever, and I've taken such inspiration from so many stylish ladies. So I've decided to start a fashion blog of my own, and maybe if I'm really lucky I can pass on a little inspiration to others.

I just moved to a small town in Maryland with my wonderful boyfriend Matt. We have two adorable little (getting bigger!) kittens and we're both working at our first jobs, me in accounting and him in engineering. We've had so many changes in these past few months that this blog seemed like the perfect way to document not only my daily fashions but also our new adventures in this tiny town in the middle of nowhere. So thanks for stopping by and reading my very brief introduction, and hopefully you'll check in again soon!
